Centrifugal pumps are the most efficient and widely used water pumps in the industry. On average, 75% of the pumps used in the industry are of centrifugal type. Centrifugal pump has many applications, for example:

• Transportation of urban and industrial water
• Water transfer for agricultural purposes
• Construction of all kinds of water supply and fire pumps
• Water transfer in the installation and air conditioning system
• Transfer of chemicals and acids

Centrifugal pumps are dynamic pumps. These pumps are in the category of non-positive displacement pumps in which energy is transferred to the fluid by rotating a propeller, like many centrifugal pumps, they take energy from the rotating motor and transfer it to the fluid. Centrifugal pumps are classified into three parts:

1. Radial flow centrifugal pump
2. Mixed flow centrifugal pump
